Friday, June 17 at 3:00 pm – Saturday, June 18 at approximately 1:00 pm

For men and young men of all ages.

George Fuller organized this camping trip and will lead bushcraft (primitive camping) training.

Schedule: Times are flexible. Come and go as needed.

Friday, June 17:

  • 3:00pm: Welcome

  • 3:15pm: Set up camp

  • 4:00pm: Fire making methods

  • 5:00pm - 6:30pm: Dinner/devotion

  • 6:30pm: Dinner clean up

  • 7:00pm: More time around the campfire

Saturday, June 18:

  • 8:00am +/- Wake up

  • 8:15am - 9:15am: Campfire breakfast/devotion

  • 9:00am: Breakfast clean up

  • 9:30am: Bushcraft cordage methods

  • 10:30am: Baton / Maul making

  • 11:30am: Campfire lunch

  • 12:30pm – 1pm: Closing, lunch clean up, break camp

Recommended Gear (not exhaustive):

  • Hatchet or small axe

  • Bow saw or folding saw

  • Knife (preferably fixed blade, flat spine)

  • Paracord/550 cord (25" minimum)

  • Tent/shelter/tarp

  • Bedding/sleeping bag/pillow

  • Ground barrier, e.g. foam mat, pad

  • Lawnchair

  • Plate/cup and eating/cooking utensils for eating/drinking/cooking

  • Hygiene items

  • Hand towel

  • Flashlight and/or headlamp (battery check)

  • One to two liter pot and/or small pan for campfire cooking

  • Food: Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and lunch (potluck style, campfire cooking with open

  • flame and grill surface)

  • Drinks (water, coffee, soda, etc.)

  • Insect repellant

Note: Watch the weather and prepare accordingly.
