Iron Sharpens Iron: Camping Trip
When: Friday, May 6 at 3:00 pm – Saturday, May 7 at approximately 1:00 pm
Who: For men and young men of all ages.
Led by: George Fuller organized this camping trip and will lead bushcraft (primitive camping) training.

Friday, May 6:
3:00pm: Welcome
3:15pm: Set up camp
4:00pm: Fire making methods
5:00pm - 6:30pm: Dinner/devotion
6:30pm: Dinner clean up
7:00pm: More time around the campfire
Saturday, May 7:
8:00am +/- Wake up
8:15am - 9:15am: Campfire breakfast/devotion
9:00am: Breakfast clean up
9:30am: Bushcraft cordage methods
10:30am: Baton / Maul making
11:30am: Campfire lunch
12:30pm – 1pm: Closing, lunch clean up, break camp
Recommended Gear (not exhaustive):
Hatchet or small ax
Bow saw or folding saw
Knife (preferably fixed blade, flat spine)
Paracord/550 cord (25" minimum)
Tent/shelter/tarp
Bedding/sleeping bag/pillow
Ground barrier, e.g. foam mat, pad
Lawn chair
Plate/cup and eating/cooking utensils for eating/drinking/cooking
Hygiene items
Hand towel
Flashlight and/or headlamp (battery check)
One to two liter pot and/or small pan for campfire cooking
Food: Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and lunch (potluck style, campfire cooking with open
flame and grill surface)
Drinks (water, coffee, soda, etc.)
Insect repellant
